Unlike many sign companies that outsource the actual fabrication of their signs to third-party manufacturers, we handle every step of the process in-house, right here at our 14,000-square-foot facility in Reading, PA. Signature Sign is a true full-service, in-house manufacturer, so when you partner with us, you are working with the people who actually build your sign. Every weld, every component, every detail is managed by our team, from the first sketch to the moment the sign goes up.

Our Process: From Idea to Installation

Every great sign begins with a conversation. When you reach out to Signature Sign, we start by getting to know your business, your brand, your location, your goals, and the impression you want to make. From there, our process is thorough, transparent, and built around doing things right.

Design & Consultation – Our experienced graphic designer collaborates closely with you to create something that reflects the quality of your brand and has genuine eye appeal. This goes far beyond picking fonts and colors. We consider the shape of your sign, architectural features, lighting, visibility from the road, and even how it will look after dark. If you don’t yet have a logo, we’ll help you develop one. Our founder Denny Boyer’s philosophy has always been simple: your sign should make a statement, not blend into the background.

Engineering & Permitting – Before production begins, we ensure your sign will meet every local, state, and safety requirement. As a UL-certified manufacturer, we adhere to rigorous quality and safety standards. Signature Sign handles the entire permitting process from start to finish:

  • Researching township regulations and square footage allowances.
  • Drafting detailed plot plans, building elevations, and scaled drawings.
  • Preparing for and attending planning and board meetings.
  • Coordinating site surveys and building elevations.

In-House Manufacturing – This is where we truly set ourselves apart. Our fabricators build your sign at our facility using premium materials selected for durability, visibility, and long-term performance. Because we control the manufacturing process ourselves, we control the quality. There are no middlemen, no shortcuts, and no surprises. What was designed is what gets built… precisely and to specification.

Professional Installation  – Our installation crews have the experience and training to handle even the most complex jobs. From standard building- mounted signs to towering pylon structures, we have the specialized equipment to ensure your sign is mounted safely and correctly the first time.

Ongoing Service & Support – Our commitment doesn’t end when the installation is complete. We provide ongoing service and repair to protect your investment for years to come – from replacing power supplies to upgrading old components to modern LED technology. At Signature Sign, we maintain a fleet of service vehicles reaching heights of up to 82 feet, ensuring we can access and service virtually any sign we've ever built.
